About Us
  • The South Asian Women's Centre formerly known as South Asian Women's Group was founded in 1982.
  • The Centre offers a helping hand to every woman and her family who seeks our services.
  • Our client base has expanded dramatically over our close to 20 year history.
  • In the year 1999-2000 we provided services to nearly 5000 women and children with over 16844 units of service in the form of information, referral, supportive counseling, advocacy and wellness education.
  •  The Centre greatly values our volunteers for helping to provide ongoing and effective services.
  • Volunteers perform a variety of functions including Board work, administrative support, advocacy, program planning and implementation and much more!  For information on volunteer opportunities, please contact us
  • Over the past year 65 volunteers made an immense contribution by putting in over 800 hours.
