About Us
-
The South Asian Women's Centre formerly
known as South Asian Women's Group was founded in 1982.
-
The Centre offers a helping hand to
every woman and her family who seeks our services.
-
Our client base has expanded dramatically
over our close to 20 year history.
-
In the year 1999-2000 we provided services
to nearly 5000 women and children with over 16844 units of service in the
form of information, referral, supportive counseling, advocacy and wellness
education.
-
The Centre greatly values our
volunteers for helping to provide ongoing and effective services.
-
Volunteers perform a variety of functions
including Board work, administrative support, advocacy, program planning
and implementation and much more! For information on volunteer opportunities,
please contact us
-
Over the past year 65 volunteers made
an immense contribution by putting in over 800 hours.

We also greatly appreciate the financial
